Please include in your letter of intent why you want to work with sex offenders. Additionally, please include one clinical assessment report that you composed and created. Assessment battery reports and intake evaluations are acceptable. If you do not have any formal reports to submit, please submit a related writing sample.

Required/Desired Experience (e.g., specific populations, testing, etc):

Applicants must have past clinical experience in substance abuse, sexual offender therapy, or other forensic setting. California Sexual Offender Management Board certificate is recommended, but not required.

Letter of intent content (submitted to CAPIC as part of the complete student application to internship):

Why you want to work with sex offenders, relevant experience in the field, and any relevant research experience.

Interviews are conducted individually, with an opportunity to speak to current interns about their experience.

We are looking for applicants who are interested in pursing a career in forensic or forensic-related psychology. Ideal candidates are self-motivated, eager to learn, and also able to integrate into a team-oriented environment.
