Please describe your objective in training Predoctoral interms. Please include a brief description of your training program and how it fits within the goals or mission of your agency:

The philosophy at the Berkeley Therapy Institute is eclectic and mulit-disciplinary. Interns are encouraged to bring their own individual perspectives to BTI. We aim to further develop the intern's theoretical orientation and refine their clinical skills. In addition, we are dedicated to further developing the intern's professional growth and development. An on-going professional development seminar is provided on a weekly basis. In addition, guest speakers make presentations on a variety of topics of interest. Case seminars are led by both psychologists and psychiatrists and so the interns are exposed to new ways of thinking about and working with a very diverse clinical population.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS OF PREDOCTORAL INTERNS:

Provide individual, couples, and group treatment with a diverse population. Psychological assessment may be performed when necessary.
