Training goals are predicated on enabling trainees to learn application of relevant psychological knowledge and skills, and to provide support for cost-effective services to diverse clients conforming to core values of innovation, dignity, integrity, hope, action, and excellence.
If applicable, describe in detail how the internship training differs from practicum training:
Internship students treat more complicated patients and complete more psychological and neuropsychological test batteries.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS OF PREDOCTORAL INTERNS:
Client diagnostic / assessment of co-occurring patients, including individual and group psychotherapy, process groups, psychoeducational groups, class instruction, staff consultation, smoking cessation, biofeedback, and administrative duties.
