Assessment and Psychological Testing

Will the trainee have an opportunity for assessment/psychological testing experience?: Yes

Percentage of time allowed for providing assessment services: 2

Additional supervision and training for assessment/psychological testing: Yes

Describe the assessment training:

We have close cooperation with our Disability Resources Department and tend to receive a preponderance of requests for assessing ADHD. Interns receive training and then provide evaluation and testing for ADD as well as other psychological disorders. SPS encourages interns to consider the utility of formal Psychometric Assessment in the treatment of clients. Testing training and supervision is available to interns dependent on the interest of interns, and the availability of cases and materials. SPS does not own its own testing materials, and so opportunity rests on the availability of materials and supervision through interns' schools.
