Please describe your objective in training Predoctoral interms. Please include a brief description of your training program and how it fits within the goals or mission of your agency:
The main objectives of this internship are to provide a thorough training for students in behavioral medicine and psychological and neuropsychological assessment.
The internship trainee will be fulfilling either the requirements of a 2000 hour full-time, or a 1040 hour half-time internship placement. The program will provide the students with 20-40 hours per week of psychological activities that serve directly to enhance the trainee’s ability to later operate independently as an ethical and competent psychologist (evaluations, assessment, individual and group therapy, report writing, and biofeedback). The intern will be working under the supervision of two licensed psychologists and will receive individual and group supervision. The primary supervisor will be available at all times to the trainee, either in the form of direct consultation or via telephone.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS OF PREDOCTORAL INTERNS:
Interns, once trained, will be responsible for conducting evaluations and psychometric testing, writing reports, conducting behavioral medicine services such as relaxation training, biofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, group psychotherapy and psychoeducation. Additionally, interns will be able to administer, score, and interpret various psychological and neuropsychological instruments.
