Multicultural Training
Describe opportunities for multicultural training:
AMCS includes a minimum of three annual training seminars on diversity, equity and inclusion. We have interns providing therapy services at the local middle school, high school and the Boys and Girls Club of Venice. We provide services for "at risk youths." Most of the children served in these settings are of diverse ethnic backgrounds.
AMCS provides affordable mental health services to the community, which is comprised of a diverse population regarding ethnicity, age and SES.
Additionally, speakers will present specifically on this topic at the Training Seminars. Diversity is also integrated into supervision during presentations and discussion of the intern's work.
AMCS has a training track and provides training seminars on LGBTQI affirmative practices.
