Agency Description:

The Center for Family Wellness is a community-based agency that provides psychological treatment, education, training, and community outreach services to the underserved population in the greater Los Angeles and San Fernando Valley.

Agency Mission:

We are committed to meeting the needs of the underserved population (especially minorities), vulnerable children, traumatized and victims of violent crimes, and anyone struggling with psychological and /or interpersonal conflicts. The center uses programs that are innovative, effective, evidence-based and culturally sensitive. The model treatment emphasizes an ecological system with the collaboration and participation of the individual, family, school personnel, government institutions, and other community-based programs.

Based on the population served at The Center for Family Wellness, the training staff emphasize interventions on family systems such as Bowen and Family Structural Therapy. We also focus on training interns on the importance of understanding cultural and ethnical backgrounds of our clients, especially those born outside of the United States.
