Training and Education Offered by Internship

Please describe your objective in training Predoctoral interms. Please include a brief description of your training program and how it fits within the goals or mission of your agency:

The PEDs internship program focuses on psychological and educational diagnostic testing. The responsibilities of the students are intakes, testing, scoring, interpreting, report writing and feedback sessions. Each intern receives one hour of individual supervision each week as well as one hour of group supervision. Interns have up to three testing cases at a time. The training program includes seminars in testing, assessment and child and adolescent development. Grand Rounds are offered each month on a different topic that impacts the various mental and behavioral concerns of children in the community.

We do not offer practicum training.

Feedback sessions with parents, teachers and therapist are also a responsibility of the intern. Each intern receives one hour of individual supervision each week. Interns have three testing cases at a time. The training program includes seminars in testing and assessment.
