Multicultural Training
Describe opportunities for multicultural training:
In addition to multicultural training integrated throughout didactic and experiential training, interns will be supervised by psychologists with expertise in working within multicultural urban environments. During the second semester of training, interns will produce a Powerpoint presentation on some cross-cultural aspect of the current client population. Topics have included: obesity in the African-American community, female circumcision, religion and therapy, the use of art in treatment, re-parenting group process, children and anger management, Armenian, African-American and Latina women and sexual abuse, and development of programs.
