Students seeking an internship must first get approval from their academic program. Students apply to CAPIC, indicating their interest in SCTC.The academic program should email or send a list of prospective interns interested in applying to SCTC during the CAPIC interviewing process. Students will be contacted and notified as to the location and date of the interview. Interns are required to submit CAPIC application to SCTC via email. Students are notified if they are not being considered for placement at SCTC. A rank ordering of successful students will be sent to CAPIC.

Please briefly describe the clinical and educational experience necessary to be considered for acceptance into your training program:

The consortium supervising psychologists expect students to have completed two years of full-time coursework in clinical psychology, including courses in psychopathology, clinical interviewing, cognitive, affective, social and biological bases of behavior, diversity/multicultural psychology, test construction, measurement theory, and psychological assessment, basic interventions (cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, or familial, etc.) as well as statistics and research design. Students should have also completed a full practicum training experience in addition to other clinical experiences.
