Describe the interview process for your agency (individual or group interview, role playing required, case presentation required, etc):

Send Vita to Life Skills in advance. Subsequently, applicants are invited to participate in individual interview at program during regular hours. Applicants are asked to discuss issues such as reasons for their interest in training at Life Skills Treatment Program, past training experiences, and future goals. Applicants are given the opportunity to meet the clients, staff and current psychology trainees and to observe the day program in operation.

Describe what you are looking for in an applicant:

Life Skills is seeking interns who are interested in improving their knowledge and clinical skills related to individuals who have a developmental disability (such as autism) and mental illness. Interns need to be willing to work closely with a population that is very challenging, but also very rewarding.
