In addition to helping the student attain a higher level of clinical competence, we place a high value on the integration of the identity and personal development of the intern-therapist. Interns can attend Institute colloquium and public programs for free; full library privileges.

If applicable, describe in detail how the internship training differs from practicum training:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS OF PREDOCTORAL INTERNS:

Average caseload of 12. Weekly: Two hour case conference; 2 hours didactic seminar; 2 hours of intake assessment; 50-60% direct patient contact. 2-3 hours of individual supervision. Community meeting half hour.
